Disco Demolition Night
Disco Demolition Night
"Disco Demolition Night" was a wild and infamous promotion held at Comiskey Park in Chicago on July 12, 1979. What started as a quirky event between doubleheader games quickly spiraled out of control. Fans were encouraged to bring disco records to the stadium to be blown up on the field, a rebellious gesture against the disco craze. But the explosion damaged the field and led to a riot, with fans storming the field, causing chaos, and forcing the White Sox to forfeit the second game. This tee captures the rebellious energy of that night, commemorating one of baseball’s most memorable off-the-field moments!
